Off the Beaten Path - Related Opportunities

You've always liked motorcycles, or you're fascinated by heavy equipment. Perhaps you're interested in farm machinery or recreational vehicles. In the automotive repair and service industry, the options are nearly endless. There is a position for anyone who has the determination to learn a skill and apply it to a job.

Not everyone wants to be a technician, and the automotive repair and service industry has opportunities for those people. You can branch out into insurance adjusting or become an insurance claim examiner. These positions require detailed knowledge of vehicles so that repair costs can be accurately assessed and a proper estimate and claim report can be written. Though you may not actually work on the vehicle, you have to understand what needs to be done by who, what it will cost, and how long it will take.
